After reading about CLog from Cinch MVVM Framework , i am trying to implement it as a service.

Now my issue is that my mainly i care for logging in file, i am doing so using log4net. What is the best approche for doing so. Should i create client and server to do so , or there is a shortcut.

Is there any document or tutorial for CLog.

Thanks for sharing the  great work.

Hi Shahbour,

There are a couple articles on CodeProject regarding Clog.

  • http://www.codeproject.com/KB/WPF/WpfLogging.aspx

I would recommend logging to a database rather than to a file if you have a client server application. It can be a challenge getting the locking strategy right along with permissions etc., when using a flat file.

Clog does not require a client and a server. You can use Clog as a layer on top of your existing logging infrastructure, which in this case is log4net.
