CLog with NLog

Hi Daniel,

we're looking into using CLog for one of our projects and we chose NLog as the server side logger.

We created an NLog LogStrategy implementation and it all compiles and even runs successfully but I don't see any log being generated.

Our Silverlight application has nothing but CLog right now and all the code in the Silverlight side is:

public partial class MainPage : UserControl
    {
        static readonly ILog log = LogManager.GetLog("Silverlight");

        public MainPage()
        {
            InitializeComponent();

            log.Info("Test message - started silverlight application");
        }
    }

We tried putting a breakpoint and traced through the log.Info call and everything seems to be fine.

Any suggestions on how we could debug this problem?

Thanks

Selim

Hi Selim,

It sounds like it might be a configuration issue. If you want to send me a sample application to dbvaughan at <gmail> dot com, I will take a look at it.

Cheers,

Daniel
